Descriptive study to assess the knowledge regarding prevention of bronchial asthma among workers in JK cement factory of Kashmir

Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge regarding prevention bronchial asthma among workers in JK cement factory Kashmir.Introduction: Occupational refers induced by exposure working environment airborne dusts, vapors, or fumes, with without preexisting asthma.. Over 250 materials encountered at workplace can cause occupational asthma, which accounts for about 15% all cases. Methodology: Descriptive research design and a sample 50 were selected Kashmir total enumerative sampling technique. Self-Structured interview schedule used data collection analyzed descriptive inferential statistics using chi-square t-test. Results: findings revealed that mean score 7.00, median 7.50, standard deviation 2.25 minimum 5, maximum 19 range 14 p≤ 0.05.Significant association pretest found duration no significant age, educational status (p<0.05 ). Conclusion: concluded assessment not satisfied terms emphasis there is need impart planned teaching programme on asthma.
